As a way to contribute to an important cause, put emotions into action, and have fun at the same time, I am organizing a Benefit Charity Concert entitled: MUSIC TO HEAL A HEART with Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Top 6 Scholar– Ms. CRISTINA PASTOR. The said event will be on July 11, 2009, 8 o’clock in the evening at The Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills San Juan.
The concert’s main objective is to raise money for our beneficiary – BREANNA PIDOR, while enjoying the night jamming to the best music of Ms. Cristina Pastor together with some special guests.
Breanna was born with several congenital irregularities: such as Congenital Cataract (operated last August 28, 2008, 2 years – next operation); Mild Renal Artery Stenosis on the right kidney (resolved); Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN she was taking medicines to control it); Patent Doctus Arteriosus (0.5cm at birth, 0.28cm last 2d echo result); Patent Foramen Ovale (later called Atrial Septal Defect, 0.5cm at birth, 1.7cm last 2d echo result); and Cleft Soft Palate.
Since she was born last March 12, 2008, she had endured five admissions with 44 accumulated days in three different hospitals, wherein three were intensive care and one critical admission. On May 15 last year, she was admitted for hypertension, and on July 15 for severe pneumonia and congestive heart failure. Last August and September she underwent cataract removal surgery on both of her eyes, which went well except for her right eye that could not focus as normally expected. On last March 9 of this year, she collapsed on her crib for a second time and her pediatric neurologist says she has a slight seizure.
During her last heart checkup, her cardiologist informed us that she needs to undergo an open heart surgery as soon as possible due to her Atrial Septal defect (abnormal heart holes) and thin atrial wall inside her heart. The cardiologist fears that her heart might tear if it is not going to be fixed in due time.
The parents of Breanna can no longer bear the cost of the operation and medication she needs after all the previous medical expenses they had. For this reason, we are raising ONE MILLION PESOS for her urgent financial needs. With that said, donations and/or assistance that you will give for Breanna’s heart will be much appreciated.
